  • I need to start getting up earlier. Mornings are a bit too rushed for my liking and I just wanna sleeep moooore no matter when the alarm goes off. Better to think I can catch another half hour of snoozing at 6AM rather than 6:30.

  • I adore my kids, but one thing they are absolutely incapable of is rushing. Once you tell them to hurry up, it's like you asked them to pretend they are moving in slow motion.

  • This my belated Christmas gift from Mat, a gorgeous Blood Milk necklace made with cast owl talons and mouse bones. *love*

  • Cast owl talons and mouse bones 😍 Thank you Mat for my gorgeous @bloodmilk necklace!

  • Hey alright! NYT names Philadelphia #3 in the top 52 places to visit in 2015. We're right behind Cuba(?) and ahead of Yellowstone. We want to road trip to Yellowstone. Guess we have the right idea.

  • Hilarious. Skeleton dollies anonymous, indeed

  • People are freaking out over this video and I think that is stupid. I love it. I also love this whole album from Sia.

  • Mat had the great idea to move Gid's drums to the basement since we've been incapapble of figuring out how they will fit into his future bedroom without meaning he will be living with just DRUMS and a bed. This means we have a lot more work to do, but it needs to be done. Our basement is a creepy old nightmare! He'd actually love playing down there and it makes the most sense for sound insulation.

  • Nobody puts baby in the corner.

  • Still in love

Oh!!! I LOVE that video! But I love Sia and I love the tiny dancer and I LOVE Shia. I cannot imagine what people are saying about it. We live in dramatic times, m'dear. Pay no attention. That is gorgeous and symbolic and brave and yeah.

If you are going to stay in the house and it sounds as though you are, you much reclaim the nightmare that lives below you. It's both Jungian and practical. :) This is a good 2015 project! I have made my attic my 2015 project....

I would have predicted you an early bird. What would Ben think?

I really like that that little dancer has kept her character for this one, and yes, all of that. You *can* imagine but you do not want to. Sia has even offered an apology of sorts, which is a damned shame. It really is beautiful.

Ha, we're gonna stay here probably until long after we are ghosts. We figure we can spend the $$$ to move or spend the $$$ to stay and improve what we have. It is a great 2015 project! It is actually a very small basement, our trouble is always the problem of sorting and then having to get things out of the house directly because we have no place to shuffle around into. We might even wind up calling a charity to do a pick up of kid stuff. This is the motivation we need, really.

Ha! I am not. Ben would be displeased. I am fine if left to my own devices, but being woken up and needing to get right on the kids, makes me just want to just not. Mat pops up and goes. I need to blink for a little bit.

Aw man, I was hoping that the video would be for Moonquake Lake from the new Annie movie. (I am so out of the current-popular-music scene that I'm only aware of Sia because of Annie.)

Gorgeous necklace! That is SO cool.

Oh! I only knew of her doing You're never fully dressed without a smile from Annie. (I don't remember Moonquake Lake??) Her video for Chandelier (which I LOVE) was huge and resulted in a lot of parodies (my favorite is the Jim Carrey/SNL bit). The little girl in this was the same character in that.

Thanks! I love it.

Thanks for the Sia info!

Moonquake Lake is the (intentionally terrible?) Sia/Beck duet from the movie-within-the-movie "Moonquake Lake" in Annie. Star-crossed lovers, warrior fish-women from the moon sent to conquer Earth, that sort of thing. I find it delightfully silly.

That video is one of the best videos I have seen in a long time... which may not be saying much, as I don't see a lot of videos, but still!

No, it really is one of the best. Have you seen the Chandelier video?
